, The Bloomington POPS Chorus includes voices from The Bloomington Chamber Singers, present and former Singing Hoosiers, The Tonecutters, Voces Novae, IU vocal music majors, area choral directors, and members of local church choirs. While most reside in Bloomington, the communities of Unionville, Elletsville, Bedford, Columbus, Paoli, Mitchell and Norman are also represented by chorus members. Organized in 1996 by Dr. John Clair Canfield to perform with the Bloomington POPS orchestra for the first Picnic With The POPS event, The POPS chorus has since appeared on stage with the POPS orchestra for the Picnic, Christmas With The POPS, and other POPS concerts. The chorus sang under the baton of POPS Music Director and conductor, Robert E. Stoll, from 1997 to 2003. Conductor Chris Ludwa presently serves as the chorus master and conductor for the Bloomington POPS (
